Aya appears in episode 17, "Pickers of Empty Cocoons." When her twin sister vanishes and is trapped in the caves of the mushi, Aya searches relentlessly for a way to bring Ito home despite impossible odds... even the Mushi-shi Ginko sees it as hopeless.
