Devilman is the demon that Akira Fudo becomes by exchanging for his soul for the purpose of mankind. He still has the ability to love with the human heart of Akira Fudo. After he becomes Devilman, Akira is no longer timid and shy as he becomes very aggressive and no longer lets anyone push him around.
